Lahore:
The city experienced hot and partially cloudy weather on Sunday, the Met Office providing similar conditions in the next 24 hours.
However, officials of the department have expressed an alert, warning that the wind, dust and thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms and strong precipitation could damage vulnerable structures such as electric posts, trees, vehicles and solar panels between Monday evening and Tuesday.
They noted that the humid currents moved to the country’s upper and central regions, while a new West wave should enter the western and upper areas on Monday evening.
Hot and dry conditions should persist in most regions. However, the rain, the wind and the thunderstorms are probably in the Potohar region, the Gilgit-Baltistan, the Kashmir, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and the north and south-east of Balutchistan during the evening and the night.
