Islamabad:
The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant-General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reaffirmed Sunday that the Pakistani nation and its armed forces have always been held together in the face of external threats and will continue to do so.
Addressing students from various universities of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the best spokesperson in the army underlined the recent tensions with India, emphasizing the collective resolution displayed by the nation.
“They [India] I thought we will attack and Pakistan would not answer. You saw how you all stand behind your country. All of Pakistan was united and, by the grace of the Almighty, this iron wall was erected, “he said, referring to the national unity observed during the last dead end with India after the attack on Pahalgam.
Lieutenant-General Chaudhry said all of India’s hypotheses, including those made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were very refuted by Pakistan’s opportune and efficient response.

Contrasting the conduct of Pakistan with that of its opponent, the CEO ISPR said that the military had joined international laws and standards.

“We love peace and prefer peace as our first choice,” he added, warning India that any rehearsal of such assault would be welcomed with a “fierce response” even more.
Regarding regional terrorism, Lieutenant-General Chaudhry said that India has orchestrated and financed destabilizing activities in South Asia, including Pakistan.
He said that attacking authors against mosques and the slaughter of innocent civilians had no connection with Islam or the traditions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or Pachtoune culture.
“These terrorists are followers of India,” he said.
He also referred to a militant figure, Khargi Noorwali, the criticism for having justified collaboration with non-Muslims under the cover of religious legitimacy.
“He says that sharia is asking for the help of non-believers. But in Islam, truth and lies cannot exist together,” said the head of the ISPR.
“You are asking for help from India, a country where the dignity of cashmere girls is raped,” he added.
Speaking on Afghanistan, Lieutenant-General Chaudhry stressed that Pakistan considered its Western neighbor as a “fraternal Islamic country”, while criticizing elements within the Afghan elite to allow anti-Pakistani activities.
