Solana users can now access the network via a metamask portfolio.
Metamask announced Tuesday that its Solana integration was live, which means that users can now transform on the second largest intelligent contract platform and interact with the applications based on Solana via the portfolio.
“Let’s be honest. Managing portfolios through Metamask and Solana was a bit of a test. But no more,” said the blog post. “With the latest version of the Metamask extension, you can use Solana natively. Next to your Ethereum accounts, all in an interface.”
Integration is currently only on the desktop, but should be put online on the Metamask mobile application in the coming weeks, the post said.
Metamask is the most used browser portfolio of the Ethereum network, with more than 100 million annual users.
Although the portfolio already supports other networks, Solana is the first Non EVM network (which means the first network that does not use the Ethereum calculation engine) to be integrated. The blog post said that other non -EVM networks would follow soon.
