- Beta UI 8 is live now in some countries
- Galaxy S25 phones are the first eligible devices
- The software could be launched entirely in July
We already expected on the beta program for One UI 8 (based on Android 16) to start in the coming days, and Samsung has now announced that it had passed online in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and South Korea.
According to the official announcement, the software update brings “a new era of software intelligence”, including multimodal AI – which essentially means improvements to AI tools already on phones with a user interface 7.
Samsung Galaxy S25 phones are the first online for the beta program, and although it can extend to other devices on a later date, Samsung has not yet said anything about this. The company says that it has worked in close collaboration with Google so that the User Interface Update Calendar can get closer to the main Android update calendar.
Here there is information on the coming foldables of Samsung. Although they are not mentioned by their name, Samsung says that a user interface 8 will be launched in full alongside “new foldable devices” – and we expect the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the three -part Galaxy G Fold appear in July.

There are standard warnings that apply to any beta version: you perform this early at your own risk, and you must expect bugs and strange behavior in exchange for being able to test new features before everyone else.
If you are a Galaxy S25 owner and you are in a country where the Beta UI 8 is live, you can get involved by heading to the Samsung Members application on your phone and connecting with your Samsung account. You should then see an invitation to the beta program.
Follow this invitation and you will get instructions to install the beta version, which will not cost you anything. Alternatively, you are free to wait for an 8 user interface to be officially expelled, probably in July. Based on everything we have heard so far, Google seems to launch Android 16 in June after its own beta test.
Among the UI 8 strong points reported by Samsung, we have supported the upgrading of Auracasts for several Bluetooth connections, an improved fast sharing panel and an update of the Samsung recall application which adds “more practical and intuitive features” to keep your reminders organized.
