Fujifilm revealed the time and the place of its 2025 x Summit event – June 12 in Shanghai – and there is speculation that the long -term Fujifilm X -E5 will then be officially revealed.
Last week, we reported rumors saying that Fujifilm X-E5 would be announced in June, so this event announcement simply adds fuel to this fire. He comes to the United States with the kind authorization of the reliable site Fuji Rumors, which also reports that Fujifilm will announce a new X-MOUNT pancake objective during the event: the XF23mm. This first truncated first angle should be a perfect partner for the compact X-E5 body, and we would not be surprised if the couple is finally sold like a package.
Rumors speculating on what the X -E5 could look like in terms of specifications, characteristics and price has been slim on the ground – so far. Again, it is the rumors of Fuji with history, which affirms that the X-E5 will be delivered with an X-Trans V APS-C 40 MP sensor and an image stabilization in the body (ibis). This would bring him closer to the Fujifilm X100VI populaire with a fixed objective, which also has the two features, but does not have the option of interchangeable lenses.
This would represent a solid upgrade compared to Fujifilm X-E4, published by 2021, which has a CMOS 4 sensor of 26.1 MP X-Trans 4 and not Ibis. It is also lacking in meteorological sealing, double -card slots and maintains physical controls at least, which led to that it is generally considered by fujifilm enthusiasts as a disappointment.
But with the rumor mill predicting that it is unlikely that we will see a successor to Fujifilm X-Pro 3 (or X100VI) in 2025, the X-E5, the rumor could become a most awaited Fuji camera of this year for all those looking for a compact and retro acolyte with a pantry design.
How much could a Fujifilm X-E5 cost?
The potential price of Fujifilm X-E5, on the other hand, remains in the air. The X-E4 landed in February 2021 for $ 850 / £ 799 / $ 1,399 at, but rumors suggest that his successor could cost a little more than that.
