Marshal Syed Asim Munnir said that the Pakistani army was fully alert and prepared to respond decisively to any threat and reiterates that peace in Balutchistan is non -negotiable and that the future of Pakistan is directly linked to stable and prosperous Balochistan.
While interacting with the former tribal people during a large Jirga at the Zehri auditorium in Quetta, the army chief praised the bravery and the resilience of the security forces and the staff of the law enforcement operating on Sunday in Balutchistan, a press release published by the Prime Minister’s office.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Marshal Munnir Munnir jointly addressed Jirga, which was organized to interact with tribal leadership and discuss the evolving security situation in Balutchistan, particularly emphasizing war by proxy power fueled by India.
“This war by proxy sponsored by the Indians is no longer hidden, it is an act of malicious terrorism open to our people, our progress and our peace. We have concrete evidence of the hand of India behind the terrorist networks operating in Baloutchistan,” said Marshal Munir.
“These harmful attempts of the enemy will fail. The Pakistani army, with the unwavering support of the Baloch nation and people, will face and crushed each enemy, foreign or domestic, which dares to challenge our sovereignty.”
On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed that proxys sponsored by the Indians operating in Balutchistan had intensified their efforts to undermine peace, destabilize the province and disrupt development initiatives led by the government and the armed forces.
He said that terrorist groups like Fitna al-Hinstan had asked for support from residents who were to be refused. He underlined the need to commit to the local level and to ensure that the terrorists found no social space.
Presence of leadership and the constructive role of the ancients, Shehbaz reiterated that denying social space to terrorists was crucial for the success of the efforts to combat terrorism and for long -term peace and stability. He swore that the enemies of peace would not find a space to operate in Pakistan.
“Our message to them is clear: the government, the armed forces, the leas and the administrative apparatus”, with the full support of the people, would bring the fight against terrorism to its logical conclusion and defeat terrorism in a decisive manner.
Stressing a series of monumental development packages for prosperity in Balutchistan, the Prime Minister stressed the need to guarantee that people at the local level benefited from government initiatives.
He congratulated the people of Balutchistan for their historical role in the safeguarding of national unity and urged them to remain vigilant against subversion and sabotage supported abroad orchestrated and sponsored by India.
Prime Minister Shehbaz and Marshal Munnir praised the bravery and resilience of the security forces and the LEA operating in Balutchistan. Shehbaz assured the families of Shuhada to cooperation and complete support, and promised that the terrorists, their accomplices and their facilitators would not be spared.
The Jirga concluded with a unanimous commitment of the former tribal to stand in the shoulder with the government of Pakistan and the armed forces, reaffirming their commitment to the security, stability and development of Balutchistan, according to the press release.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz visited command of the command and staff of Quetta and addressed the students and teachers of the college. His speech reflected the government’s commitment to strengthen Pakistan’s defense institutions in the midst of the evolution of the dynamics of regional and interior security.
Shehbaz underlined the importance of professional excellence, operational preparation and strategic foresight in the face of emerging and hybrid threats, in particular in sensitive regions such as Balutchistan, where the proxies sponsored by the Indians target “our people and aim to disrupt our progress and our prosperity”.
