The many personal effects of Princess Diana’s icon, including creative dresses and more, should soon be sold at auction. But the collection will not include any of its coveted coats.
The auction, which will be held on June 26, will include more than 300 of the personal effects of Diana, with the exception of its coats.
Martin Nolan, co-founder and executive director of the auction of Julien, who holds the style of Princess Diana and a royal collection, revealed why.
“We learned through it how generous Diana was, always giving articles. And you never see a Diana coat coming at auction because she used to ensure that her staff or her staff or her friends lead to London [in] January, February, [in the] freezing cold, “he shared, by Daily Express.
He shared that the former Wales princess was generous and distributed his coats to people in the winter.
He added: “She would find homeless and give them her coats. That’s how she was – without spectacle or other.”
Elsewhere, Nolan highlighted Diana’s self -expression through her dresses.
Sharing information on an evening dress in 1986, “this beautiful dress was designed by Catherine Walker, with Falcons in migration mode all along the back. She brought this to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia during a royal visit to the late 1980s.”
“When Diana made her own auction in 1997, just two months before her death, it was one of the dresses she sold for charity,” he continued.
“She sold more than 70 dresses at the request of her son, Prince William, and to collect funds for his charitable organizations. She collected more than $ 3 million, which was huge at the time,” he shared.
Princess Diana died in 1997 after a horrible car accident.
