PM meets the Saudi Crown Prince to strengthen bilateral relations

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met the crown prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz in Mecca during an official two -day visit on Friday. Reunion has seen a constructive exchange of views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in political, economic and security fields.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the meeting reaffirmed the strategic and fraternal links between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the two leaders stressing the importance of continuing their solid partnership.

The first first Sharif granted sincere greetings to the AID to King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and to the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, congratulating the hospitality of the kingdom and the exceptional service to the pilgrims of the Hajj around the world.

The declaration also expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the guardian of the two holy mosques and the crown prince, who ensured a safe and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience.

The PM expressed its appreciation for the proactive role of Saudi Arabia in the attenuation of tensions between Pakistan and India. He congratulated the kingdom’s unshakable commitment to promote peace and stability in the region and beyond.

Stressing Pakistan’s policy in restraint responsible for Indian assault, PM Sharif stressed that sustainable peace in South Asia can only be carried out by dialogue and cooperation.

The PM Sharif expressed its satisfaction with the growing momentum of these partnerships and has reiterated that the two countries remain determined to raise this strategic relationship with new summits.

The two leaders agreed to align their efforts more on the shared vision of leadership and the aspirations of the fraternal people of the two nations, noted the declaration.

The Prime Minister prolonged an invitation to the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan in his first convenience, which he accepted, strengthening the mutual commitment to deepen the multifaceted ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The two also discussed the disastrous humanitarian situation in Gaza. The two leaders underlined the need for the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations to put an end to suffering and to reiterate their unshakable support for a fair and lasting resolution to the Palestinian question.

They stressed the importance of the Arab peace initiative and the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council as a basis for any lasting solution, the statement added.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, Chief of the Staff of the Army, Marshal Syed Asim Munnir, Minister of the Interior Mohin Naqvi, and the Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sharif and Marshal Munnir, as well as the Higher Ministers, played OMRA on Thursday evening during the official visit to Saudi Arabia.

In a rare gesture, the door of Holy Kaaba in Mecca was specially opened for the Pakistani delegation on a visit. The leaders offered prayers of Nawafil and expressed their gratitude for what they described as the success of Bunyanum Marsoos, a reference to the efforts in progress for national unity and resilience.

During the sacred pilgrimage, the Prime Minister and his delegation also offered prayers of special thanks for recent developments in the economic and social sectors of Pakistan. Supplications have been made for the country’s prosperity and continuous stability.
