Pakistan marks EID UL ADHA with unwavering unity and hope for regional peace

Islamabad: The nation celebrates AID UL Adha today with a traditional religious fervor, a solemn devotion and a renewed spirit of unity – this time, in the shade of the recent tensions of the region.

As the first EID since the recent dead end between nuclear weapons neighbors Pakistan and India, the opportunity resonates with a stronger message than solidarity, peace and compassion.

It is advisable to those who offer a sacrifice to generously distribute meat among the poor, strengthening the message that Eid is a moment of inclusion, charity and shared blessings.

In this regard, strict security agreements have been applied by the federal and provincial authorities, in particular in the main centers and urban places welcoming large congregations. Local administrations have also carried out smooth waste management operations for the three days of Eid, strengthening both civic responsibility and community spirit.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in a complete message from Eid, congratulated the nation and the Islamic world on the sacred occasion, saying: “The message of Eid Ult Adha goes beyond the sacrifice of animals. He teaches us to give up personal interests for higher national objectives. ”

He stressed that the history of the prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the Prophet Ismail (AS) teach sacrifice, obedience and devotion as corners of a strong and united society.

He noted: “The Spirit of Eid Ult Adha inculcates values ​​of patience, courage and altruism which can serve as a basis for national development.” Reflecting on recent tensions with India, he said: “Like the nation has united against attack, we must now remain resolved to overcome our internal challenges.”

The Prime Minister also drew attention to the oppressed peoples of Palestine and India illegally occupied Jammu and Cashmire. “We have to remember our Palestinian and Cashmiri brothers and sisters who continue to face immense tests. Pakistan is firmly with them in their difficulties,” he said. He called for national unity, civic responsibility and prioritization of collective interest on personal gain to realize the dream of a strong and self -sufficient Pakistan.

President Asif Ali Zardari also granted warm greetings to the Nation and the Ummah Muslim. In his message, he stressed that Eid Ult Adha revives the timeless values ​​of faith, sacrifice and brotherhood illustrated by the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the Prophet Ismail (AS).

“This day reminds us that no sacrifice is too big on the way of Allah,” he said.

He stressed that the teachings of Eid should be integrated into daily life – not just by the ritual, but by action. “It is imperative that we support the disadvantaged, take care of the patients and that we build a company based on compassion,” he said. He also urged citizens to “rid the hearts of hatred and prejudices, and to sincerely work for the prosperity of Pakistan”.

President Zardari underlined the need for a collective effort to meet economic challenges and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to the well-being of the Ummah Muslim. “Together, we can shape a Pakistan defined by unity, mutual respect and shared progress,” he added.

Eid’s special programs will be disseminated on public and private media, while newspapers will publish supplements dedicated to Eid which reflect on the spiritual and social importance in the current geopolitical climate.
