- First images of Hasselblad X2D 100c II surface
- The disclosed specifications suggest a new Lidar autofocus system on board
- The FCC application reveals more details, including refined controls
If money was not an object, the magnificent Hasselblad X2D 100c would probably be my first choice of camera for photography. The looks, manipulation and minimalist image quality of the 100MP medium camera are the upper drawer.
It is far from the perfect camera, however. I don’t mind that it is a camera only in photography (it’s true, no video recording capacities). But what spoiled my experience a little was its slow automatic development performance during the tests – a drawback that could be approached with his next successor to come.
Mirrorlessrumors reported an FCC application for a Hasselblad X2D 100C II, which contains not only the first appropriate images of the second generation model, but also describes various new features. The chief among these is the LIDAR automatic focus.
If a next Hasselblad X2D 100C II wins the Lidar Autofocus, it would represent the first significant DJI graceful update since the Chinese giant and the first drone manufacturer acquired Hasselblad, and it could not have taken a better upgrade.
Put up
I love the image quality of the X2D 100C II, so much so that it puts my full Nikon camera in the shade. However, unlike my humble Z6 II, I could not count on its automatic development for a strong development where it wanted, like the eyes of a person in a portrait.
Yes, improving the automatic focus is at the top of my list of X2D 100c II upgrade wishes, and the promise of the expensive Lidar autofocus, which is used by DJI Ronin 4D and will probably provide an enormous increase in the performance of the autofocus, is an exciting new.
Elsewhere, the new images reveal a new joystick control and a disposition of the refined button, while the SSD internal storage could again be up to 1 TB, with a CFEXPRESS B card.
Otherwise, I do not expect many other significant improvements, not that many were necessary – the X2D 100C II will apparently have the same similar 100MP sensor with image stabilization in the body of the 8EV class, a 16 -bit color depth and a dynamic range of $ 15,000.
Depending on how you look at it, the X2D 100C II is a minor update from the X2D 100C. But for me, he seems ready to make my “if I had a wish”. How did the X2D 100c II resist you? Let me know in the comments below.
