- Panasonic’s let’s note sc weighs under one kilo, but contains a removable battery and a gigabit port
- Includes a 56Wh battery contained by screws, duration up to 34.6 hours in slow motion
- Returns an unusual Touch round, now larger and borrowed from a 14 -inch brothers and sisters model
Panasonic presented the Let’s Note SC, a 12.4 -inch laptop designed for professional users, emphasizing portability, long battery life and useability improvements.
According to Mynavi (initially reported in Japanese), the device has a 12.4 -inch LCD screen with a 3: 2 appearance ratio and a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels.
The screen opens at 180 degrees without touching the surface below, helped by a hinge design which keeps it slightly high.
Weighs less than a kilo and has always ethernet and hdmi
The chassis has a pressure -resistant hood structure and has been tested to meet MIL standards.
Panasonic underlines the sustainability of the notebook, including resistance both to impact and vibrations.
Available in quiet and black gray, SC is powered by the basic processors Ultra Series 2 of Intel, the Ultra 7 255H or Ultra 5 255U, depending on the configuration.
Panasonic claims that the notebook weighs 919 g, although an independently tested unit arrived at 901 g, placing the SC among the lightest laptops of its class.
The device includes a removable 56Wh battery, now fixed with screws rather than the sliding locking without tools used in previous models. Although this improves structural integrity, it can make maintenance of fields less practical.
Battery performance is evaluated up to 12.7 hours of video playback and approximately 34.6 hours of inactivity time, according to Jeita 3.0 standards. In real use, a 50% load remained after more than 90 minutes of light use and a 30 -minute video call.
The keyboard retains a Japanese arrangement but introduces a notable change: the CTRL key is now on the far left, after exchanging positions with the FN key. Users can return to the previous configuration via the BIOS settings.
The power button, now located behind the keyboard, is less subject to accidental pressures and also works as a fingerprint sensor.
The SC also includes a round touchpad, larger than in previous models and borrowed from the 14 -inch FC line. Although always unconventional, this circular design remains a distinctive characteristic of the series.
Connectivity includes an Ethernet LAN Gigabit port, a rare inclusion in modern laptops and potentially attractive those who seek robile mobile workplay capacities.
However, the D-SUB and SD locations have been deleted, reflecting user trends to HDMI and improved data security standards.
Most ports, including USB Type-A, Dual Thunderbolt 4 USB compatible-C and HDMI compatible, are now positioned on the left side, helping to reduce the football of the cable when using a mouse.
The starting price is around 295,000 yen (around $ 1,880), general sales should start on June 20.
