- Xreal Project Dethed Project will have at AWE 2025
- He will have a massive field of vision of 70 degrees
- It will also be attached to a space puck running Android XR
Although we suspected that Android XR would be a key component of Google I / O 2025, we could not have predicts some of the partners that Google announced that it would work, which included gadget manufacturers at the top of our best list of smart glasses: XREAL.
As promised by Xreal to the E / S, he took the increased phase of the 2025 world exhibition in Long Beach in California to provide us with new details on his glasses will have in the project, and he promises to be an impressive device.
For me, the most important detail is that the device will apparently boast of a field of vision at 70 degrees, which is absolutely enormous.
The field of vision at 50 degrees of the XREAL One was already feeling large, and the Xreal One Pro at 57 degrees is a notable step in terms of size (you will have to wait a little longer for our full exam). 70 degrees will be massive.
The upgrading of the field of vision suggests – Xreal has not yet confirmed this – that the specifications will have borrowed the new optical engine of the Xreal One Pro (and perhaps even upgraded it further), including its flat objectives, because one of its main advantages is that it allows a greater FOV.
This optical system is also delivered with other upgrades, which could help make the Android XR glasses much easier to use all day while you walk.
Another interesting treat is that these specifications – like the other XREAL glasses – are attached, which means that they are powered by an external device to whom they are connected via a cable.
We already knew that will not be autonomous, but Xreal revealed that the new shipment of calculation device with aura will not only be your standard phone or the Xreal Beam Pro.
This is something brand new, running Android XR, and fed by a Qualcomm snapdragon chip – which seems to make all Android XR processors.
Xreal does not give up his own chipset. It will itself have an improved X1S chip which is a “modified version of X1 with even more power under the hood”. The X1 chipset is what is inside the XREAL One and Xreal One Pro specifications.
Xreal has not yet confirmed if he will sell the washer and the glasses separately, but if this is the case, I will be interested in seeing what this decision means for its approach to upgrading its technology in the future.
For the moment, you can pick up a pair of XREAL glasses and a beam space computer like a package, then upgrade or both over time. More recent glasses offer better visuals and audio if it is your main concern, while the new Beam Pro offers improved treatment and space functionality.
It is a less useless and generally more affordable design philosophy, because you just have to replace the only component that holds you. However, as I mentioned, Xreal has not yet confirmed if he will sell the washer and the glasses separately. Its current wording calls for the project will have “a solution made up of the wired XR glasses and a dedicated calculation device” suggesting that they could also be a complete and non -gradable package.
As for a launch date, Xreal still keeps us mainly in the dark, although he said that Project will have arrived in 2026, so we hope that we will not wait too long.
Xreal One Pro died on arrival?
After this announcement, some fans begin to wonder if their purchase Xreal One Pro was a good idea – if they had waited about a year and that they could have hung a XREAL Android XR configuration instead.
I will concede that for certain buyers of Xreal One Pro who were waiting, it was indeed the best approach, but I think that others can rest more easily, because if the aura and a pro will probably share similarities, I suspect that they will be very different devices.
To start, while Xreal glasses are often their best with the complement of Beam Pro, it is not necessary. You can use specifications with a range of USB-C compatible devices, and even many HDMI devices with good cables.
Based on Xreal’s descriptions so far, aura is not only a portable display for entertainment; This is a full space computer package with all the Nifty Android XR features that we have shown.
This will not only mean that the aim of aura is different from other glasses of Xreal; I expect its price to be very different too.
Currently, an Xreal Beam Pro and Xreal One Pro would cost you $ 848 / £ 768 (before taking into account any package or limited duration). As for what seems to be a considerably improved equipment, I imagine that Project will have cost more than $ 1,000 / £ 1,000, if not more.
And remember, you can buy the Xreal One Pro separately for only $ 649 / £ 579.
Better Tech is always on the horizon at any time, but that (for the moment) does not seem to be a rehearsal of the Fiasco Meta Quest Pro / Meta Quest 3, which saw this last launch of product very higher than half the price of the first.
Instead, Project will seem to be more a diagonal change, with new equipment offering better specifications and a different objective.
If you want to wait for the Aura project, you should absolutely, because you could also be tempted by one of the different Android XR, Meta Smart Lunes and New Snap shows that should be launched in the next year. But choose not to wait either
