Islamabad: Pakistan rejected the remarks of the Minister of Indian External Affairs in Brussels on Wednesday, calling them irresponsible and advising it to avoid turning misleading accounts to justify a recent assault.
“The speech of the best diplomats should aim to promote peace and harmony, rather than producing bellicose punchlines,” said the spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Office in a press release.
“The tone and tenor of a Foreign Minister should be proportional to his dignified status.”
In recent years, India has embarked on a malicious campaign to induce the international community through a fictitious account of the victim, said FO official.
“However, the continuous anti-Pakistani diatriber of India cannot hide its sponsorship of terrorism beyond its borders, and it cannot not cover the oppression sanctioned by the State in the Jammu and the cashmere which illegally occupied the Indians.”
“Instead of pointing the others, India should introspect its own involvement in terrorism, subversion and targeted assassinations,” the statement said.
The spokesperson also stressed that India was also to refrain from concocting misleading accounts to justify his recent aggressive actions.
“The emerging story of India betrays pure frustration, following a unsuccessful military adventure against Pakistan.
The FO official added that Indian leaders would be well advised to improve the standard of their speech and reject their obsession with Pakistan.
“History will not judge by whom has shouted the strongest, but by whom the wisest,” said the spokesperson, adding: “Pakistan believes in peaceful coexistence, dialogue and diplomacy.”
“However, he is resolved in his intention and his ability to safeguard his sovereignty against any aggression, as illustrated by his solid response to the reckless strikes of India last month,” said the spokesman.
