Jared Bush, Disney Hit Director Zootopia said he was not interested in playing safely while he faces high issues Zootopia 2.
For the Walt Disney animation studio, Walt Disney showed a star power at the Annecy animation festival this week. Bush, the 51 -year -old director, director of creation and screenwriter, has given the most detailed look so far in the next film Zootopia 2.
After his presentation, he conversed with Variety To talk about the future to come, which he wants to do for WDAS, and how important it is to support new creators.
The journalist asked how Disney tells stories about different people and cultures without giving the impression that they “check the boxes”, as Moana and IncantOn which Bush has worked, are good examples.
Answering the question, the creative force behind Raya and the last Dragon said, “I think maybe more than anything, as we make the films, we must love them and appreciate them ourselves. We must be fans and disputed by what we do.”
He added: “There is a false common idea according to which entertainment and bringing people into unknown parts of the world are exclusive of mutually, but it is not the case. It is simply difficult to marry these things sometimes.”
He was also asked how Disney makes sure that these stories are always easy to understand to everyone, including children and adults around the world.
“We are always trying to tell immersive stories, and the best way to do it is help. The collaboration is real, it is not a lip service. Spending time with people from different backgrounds and parts of the world is one of the great joys of what we can do. It is incredibly interesting and educational,” replied Bush.
It is relevant to mention that Zootopia 2 should go out in theaters on November 26, 2025.
