Frozen 2 was published in 2019. Years after that, work on the third episode is underway.
Jared Bush, which is the CCO of Walt Disney Animation Studios, said at the Annecy 2025 animation festival, “some of them are under the Wraps, but what I would share with you is that in the moment, the work done on Frozen 3, in particular, is phenomenal.”
He continued: “When people see it, I think that going back to this world with these characters, the entertainment value to watch them go on a new trip, but it seems very organic in the story on which they have already been, is fantastic.”
Jared also thought about the pressure to reach the quality bar for each studio project.
“For me personally, I think it is essential to make sure that each film we make is fantastic. We have the luxury of being able to watch films several times.”
“So, looking at Frozen 3 as” can we tell the best story we can with that and not worry about where we are going to separate from this next story “is somehow important. One thing is both, for me, the best way to approach it,” he added.
We expect Frozen 3 will be released in 2027.
