EXCLUSIVE: Two members of the United States Board of Directors are pursuing the other six members, alleging that President Damien Lehfeldt made false declarations at the Congress at a hearing of the Government Department of Efficiency Department (DOGE) on May 7 on transgender athletes.
The trial, which seeks to have Lehfeldt withdrawn as president of American fencing, was deposited on behalf of USA Fencing by the two members of the applicant.

The complainants, Andrey Geva and Abdel Salem, each have long links with sport and organization.
Geva is a former American national coach who led the American team of the female sword at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games, before being elected to the board of directors in 2024. Abdel competed for Egypt in individual events and team team at the 1984 Olympic Olympic Games, the former head coach of the Essence of the American Air Force, and in 1996, was appointed coach of the American Olympic Committee of the Year.
Now they carry the organization before the courts after alleging that Lefheldt falsely announced the resignation of Geva of the Council at a meeting on June 7 and on several allegations involving the hearing of May 7.
Lehfeldt court complaints have made “false and deceptive allegations” at the hearing, which are now risking the organization to be declassified as a national director (NGB).
“The non -social behavior of the Lehfeldt defendant in bad faith and the dismissed and deceptive statements at the hearing of the congress on May 7, [2025] Has prompted the Congress to consider the decertification of the USFA as an NGB, thus potentially risking the qualification of the American team team in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Summer Game, “said the trial.
“His lies have alienated thousands of members of the fences community that provided more than 90% of USFA income.”
Geva says he also tried to speak at the hearing, but alleged that he has faced “threats” aimed at “dissuading him”. Geva finally submitted a letter to Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on May 2, expressing “opinion on the advantage of biological men on women in fencing”. Cruz’s office had recently opened an investigation into American fences on its transgender eligibility policy after Turner’s incident.
The letter was then referenced during the DOGE audience by the president of the Marjorie Taylor-Greene subcommittee.
“” The titles of transgender women have important competitions in female competitions, “he wrote, Greene said at the hearing, reading Geva’s letter.
The trial alleys that Geva was then sent by another member of the board of directors, blaming him for his honest personal opinion, then two members of the board of directors called for a “special meeting of the board of directors intended to withdraw or discipline the plaintiff Geva”.

USA Fencing recognized the trial in a declaration to PK Press Club Digital.
“USA Fencing proudly serves its members – athletes, coaches, referees and clubs – in our community with absolute transparency and integrity. This derivative trial distorts our organization, and we will vigorously defend the organization in court; any attempt to denigrate them will be approached in an appropriate manner,” vigorously said the press release.
“Because the disputes are underway, we cannot discuss the details. Our goal remains unshakable: to advance fencing on a national scale, to support the success of each member and maintain the values of the Olympic and Paralympic movement.”
The organization underwent a huge national exam after the publication of the images of the protest of Turner on April 2.
Lefheldt’s testimony at the May 7 hearing only intensified criticism.
Lehfeldt, who was assigned to appear and did not voluntarily come, raised the controversy before the hearing with a series of Instagram stories which were then exploded and used against him upstairs. In a post, which became viral before the hearing, he answered a question that asked him if he was “agree” to put the disadvantaged fertiles with a simple and impertinement: “yeah”.
Then, during the hearing, Lehfeldt admitted several times that he had regretted answering this way and admitted that the question required a “more nuanced” answer.
At one point from the hearing, Lefheldt admitted to having falsified an email from a mother of fictitious fencing “Dorothy” who did not agree with him and called these members with a similar view of “Dorothy” “Grand Wizard” of Ku Klux Klan.
“It was a bad attempt at humor,” said Lehfeldt.
The representative Tim Burhcett, R-Tenn., Asked Lehfeldt if he would let his daughter close “a man”. Lehfeldt suggested that it allowed it while boasting of the safety precautions of its organization.
“As long as the competitor has satisfied all the hormonal requirements and complies with politics, I agree with that,” said Lehfeldt.
Later at the hearing, representative Nancy Mace, RS.C., suggested that Lehfeldt was “not” a man for the eligibility policy between the sexes of his organization.
“Real men protect women, you are not one,” said Mace.
Mace even asked Lehfeldt to simply apologize to Turner for having punished the shooter, to whom the chair refused and stressed that Turner had received a black card for his refusal.
Turner told PK Press Club Digital after the DOGE hearing that she would work to put pressure on leadership changes in the end of the United States after having moved away from sport.
“I’m going to put pressure for people to resign, to be honest. I would like to see some people resign for the comments they made, especially publicly, who harass and supposed to humiliate the women, mothers and girls concerned,” said Turner.
Now, two members of the board of directors have joined this cause.
In the midst of the meticulous examination, the board of directors of USA Fencing voted to modify its current policy which Prioritized states With LGBTQ convivial laws for host sites for competitions and a policy that may have prevented the national anthem during certain events, at its meeting on June 7.
Previous policies have become one of the biggest criticism of the organization after the viral protest of Turner.
American fences refused to explain the motivation behind the changes.
“It would be inappropriate for the personnel to speculate on the personal motivations of the board of directors of the USA Fencing volunteers,” PK Press Club Digital spokesperson told PK Press Club Digital.
