When I reviewed the OnePlus watch 3 months ago (when writing), I said that it was already a competitor for the best Android intelligent watch from 2025. I loved stainless steel, classic aesthetics and excellent battery life, but my biggest reproach was a style: it was a big metal watch, and came in a single size.
As a sporting watch, it is a major drawback. One of the reasons why the best Apple watches are so popular is that they offer watch faces of different sizes, allowing people with bigger wrists to find a watch that has the impression that it belongs to their arms.
After examining fitness technology for many years, I know that research terms like “the smallest Apple watch” and “the best smartwatch for women” are popular on Google. Customers who do not want to wear large thick watches, whether due to aesthetics or comfort, are unfortunately limited in the choice.
Fortunately, OnePlus listened to our complaints. In my review OnePlus Watch 3, I wrote: “My main reproach is the size of the watch: when writing the first early review, I said that I would have loved seeing OnePlus bring out a second smaller model for those who have smaller wrists. Many people, including many women, will find that it is simply too big and heavy for daily clothes.
“However, during my tests, OnePlus published the news, there would be a second smaller size as well as the LTE capabilities for future models, and my fears were dissipated.”
OnePlus had already revealed that a smaller size would happen, but not WhenWe also did not have other details on this subject. Would he have the same specifications as the larger model? And the battery life? Could it always be a OnePlus Watch 3, or something closer to an “SE” style of apple style? For months, we have not had any answers to these burning questions.
Published today in an exclusive interview with Techradar, Celina Shi – Marketing Director at OnePlus Europe – finally overthrew the beans on the release date of the new watch, and even provided an image – the image above. At first glance, the 43 mm looks many more pixels than the 47 mm watch in full size 3.
“In February of this year, we launched our last portable lighthouse, The OnePlus Watch 3. It was very popular because of its huge battery life, its precise GPS and its health and well-being measures,” said Celina. “We provide smaller iteration of this device which is perfect for those who have smaller wrists – but do not underestimate it.
“It is full of specifications that compete with the full size version, as well as exclusive surveillance features that are found on any other device – and will be available in elegant silver steel!”
It seems that it obtains at least an exclusive feature, although we no longer know any details on this subject. It will also pack specifications that correspond to the 47 mm version of the watch.
The best part? It was launched on July 8, a few weeks old, as well as a multitude of other OnePlus devices such as the Nord 5 OnePlus, the OnePlus Buds 4 and the OnePlus Pad Lite.
