LHC is looking for the legal status of the May 9 plotters

Lahore:

The High Court of Lahore (LHC) asked for details by June 19 concerning the legal status of the leaders of the PTI who participated in a meeting where the founding president of the party, Imran Khan, would have asked the members of the party to target military facilities in the event of arrest.

Meanwhile, the division bench, led by judge Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, also ordered the accusation of concluding arguments on the bailing arguments submitted by Imran Khan in several cases registered against him within the framework of the riots of May 9. The court asked for a list of all the participants in the meeting to determine who had obtained a deposit or who had been arrested.

At the start of the procedure, a list containing the names of the witnesses of the May 9 incidents, which had recorded their declarations, was submitted to the court.

The court was informed of all the details on the cases in which these declarations of witnesses had been registered.

The head of law informed the court that it was not a routine case and that different methods had been used to collect evidence. He argued that, under the law, it is not necessary for a person to encourage violence to be directly involved in acts of criminal fire.

Anyone who encourages the public to violence against the same consequences as those who commit a criminal fire or disturb public order, he added.

The head of law also argued that any person whose instructions lead the public to gather and cause disturbances or destruction would also be held.
