Karachi: A fire broke out in a shopping center on Rashid Minhas Road in Karachi in the early hours of Wednesday.
Firefighters Humayun Khan, addressing PK Press Club News, said the fire started on the roof of the building and spread to the fourth and third floors, which has house stores.
He noted that certain difficulties had been encountered during the operation due to a shortage of water and that eleven firefighters and two snorkels participated in fire fighting efforts.
Rescue managers confirmed that the fire had damaged the roof and third floor of the shopping center, affecting stores and offices. The fire was also present on the second and first floors, but with less intensity.
Residents of the adjacent residential building were evacuated to security and no injury has been reported. The residential building has remained safe, according to rescue managers.
The fire was under control after half past four.
