The Spanish lender BBVA advises its wealth customers to invest 3% to 7% of their portfolios in cryptocurrencies, a manager of the Spanish bank announced on Tuesday.

“The more risky profile, we allow up to 7% of (portfolios in) crypto,” said Meyer.

But the bank plans to extend this to other cryptocurrencies later this year, he added.
While many important financial institutions show a distinctly warmer attitude towards cryptocurrency investments in 2025 than in the past years, BBVA news is remarkable in that it actively advises its customers to buy crypto.
