The FIFA Club World Cup is underway, where some of the best professional football teams around the world are in competition to see who is at the top of the job.

But, the madness of foreign football fans struck the United States, the chaos that followed in Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon.

Manchester City of the Premier League in England and Wydad AC, which participate in Morocco Botola, took the ground on Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday – but the players were not the only ones or objects on the ground.

During the match, the demonstrators invaded the field. The pitch invaders took the ground with a sign that said “Morocco! Stop drawing dogs and cats”.

He ran a few seconds before being approached by safety workers and escorted outside the stadium. One of the shirts and signs of the demonstrators included the Peta logo (people for the ethical treatment of animals).

According to Peta, “the shelter cats and dogs in Morocco are slaughtered, poisoned and left to die in cages without food or water”. The government has expanded a program “Trap, Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return” for stray animals, but the activists said that animals were killed rather than sterilized.

Peta wrote on the incident on X.

“Activists stormed the field @fifacwc to exhibit the mass fire in Morocco, poisoning and living burns of dogs and cats before the FIFA 2030 World Cup in order to make the streets of the country presentable,” Peta wrote.

“Call the Moroccan government to put an end to the massacre of homeless animals and to tell the FIFA to stop while the animals die.”

Morocco is one of the hosts of the 2030 World Cup.
