Apple Journal finally arrives on the iPad and Mac with 6 new features – and they could be the reason why I go notes

  • Apple recently announced that its newspaper application is coming to iPados 26 and MacOS Tahoe for the first time
  • There are six new features later landing this year
  • The new Apple Journal features are designed for practical and creative purposes

After the recent Apple WWDC event, it is sure to say that we are for a wave of new and exciting features to come on iOS 26 in September and, as well as new additions as Apple Music Automix, Apple Journal is another application that obtains several major upgrades.

After two years of absence, Apple finally brings the application of the newspaper to iPad and Mac, which will be available when the updates of the new iPados 26 and MacOS Tahoe will be deployed – which we expect at the same time as iOS 26.

Apple Journal was introduced in 2023 as part of the iOS 17.2 software update, appearing as a preinstalled application from iPhone. But the launch of iPados 26 and MacOS Tahoe will mark the first time that the newspaper migrates to other Apple products.

Regarding Apple’s native applications, I never really felt the desire to experiment, in particular with Apple Journal, because I was more than satisfied with the Notes application for things such as monitoring my training routine or the creation of a shopping list. However, with the announcement of the six new newspaper features, Apple encourages me to become a little more creative with the way I use its native applications to get my daily life.

Apple Journal receives essential TLC
