Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the very alarming regional situation on Wednesday due to the climbing of armed conflicts between Iran and Israel and said that she was not only the threat to regional peace but also for world peace.
The Prime Minister reiterated the complete solidarity of Pakistan with the fraternal country of Iran and its people against the Israeli aggression and called on the international community to make efforts to ensure the immediate cease-fire in the armed conflict in progress.
Addressing a meeting of the cabinet, which was broadcast on the national television channels, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan had firmly condemned the Israeli aggression against Iran in which hundreds of Iranians lost their lives and a greater number of others were injured. “The global community should ensure a cease-fire,” he said and expressed optimism for lasting peace.
Digital economy
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif created a high -level committee on Wednesday to promote the economy without cash and accelerate digitization.
The Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister himself, will examine the progress and initiatives linked to the promotion of digitization and the economy without cash each week.
During the briefing, the meeting was informed that traders received instructions concerning digital payments and money transfers by digital means.
The meeting was also informed of initiatives concerning the ministries of finance and information technology.
Daanish schools
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the provision of educational and developmental opportunities equal to economically lower children remained among the main priorities of the government.
The Prime Minister has ordered that educational facilities in Daanish schools and university projects should align themselves with international standards.
