To watch
Bond says that by associating with AMD, Xbox promises to “provide the next generation of graphic innovation to unlock a deeper level of visual quality and immersive gameplay and experiences of improved players with the power of AI”.
“ Ai ” is a fashionable word that Microsoft likes to launch, and it is understandable that the concept of what it warns on Xbox feels a little uncomfortable given the content generating AI in recent years.
In truth, the use of AI here will probably come down to useful technologies, such as resolution of the resolution (as we see with the custom PSSR of PS5 Pro) and the generation of frame for smoother performance overall. As such, we could see something similar to PSSR implemented on new generation Xbox consoles.
Regarding pocket computers, we have already seen the announcement of the Asus Rog Xbox Ally and the Rog Xbox Ally X, two game hand computers designed to play Xbox game passes on the move. Both should be launched in 2025, according to the Xbox game showcase last week.
In Better News, Bond also seems to confirm total compatibility behind with the next generation of Xbox, declaring that the new equipment will maintain “compatibility with your existing Xbox game library”. It is reasonably sure to assume that Xbox Series X Games | S, although the jury remains on Xbox One and the classic Xbox and Xbox 360 titles.
Finally, it seems that Xbox will stick to the Windows ecosystem for its next generation of equipment. Bond confirms that Xbox “works in close collaboration with the Windows team, to ensure that Windows is the number one platform for games”. So do not expect to return to the emblematic dashboard of the Xbox 360 ‘Blades for which millions of people have a condition.
