During his two-hour meeting with American president Donald Trump at the White House, the chief of the army staff, Marshal Syed Asim Munnir, discussed a wide range of questions, focusing on the enlargement of bilateral cooperation in trade, artificial intelligence, energy, cryptocurrency and emerging technologies, according to a (ISPR).
The two leaders also exchanged points of view on regional security issues, including efforts to combat terrorism, the recent ceasefire between Pakistan and India, and the increase in tensions in the Middle East.

President Trump was accompanied by the Secretary of State Senator Marco Rubio and Mr. Steve Witkoff, the US Special Representative of the Middle East. Marshal Munnir was joined by Pakistan National Security Advisor.
During the meeting, the chief of staff of the army experienced the deep appreciation of the government and the people of Pakistan for the constructive role and focused on the results of President Trump in the facilitation of a cease-fire between Pakistan and India in the recent regional crisis.
The COAS have recognized that the change of state of President Trump and his ability to understand and meet the challenges with multiple facets are confronted with the world community.
President Trump, in turn, praised Pakistan’s in progress for regional peace and stability and appreciated the solid cooperation against terrorism between the two states. The two parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuous collaboration in the field of counter-terrorism.

The discussions also included ways to broaden bilateral cooperation in several areas, including trade, economic development, mines and minerals, artificial intelligence, energy, cryptocurrency and emerging technologies.
President Trump expressed interest in forging a mutually beneficial commercial partnership with Pakistan based on long -term strategic convergence and shared interests. A detailed exchange of points of view also took place on the dominant tensions between Iran and Israel, the two leaders stressing the importance of resolving the conflict.
President Trump congratulated the leadership and determination of Marshal Munir during a complex regional dynamic period.
