“I have never retired from an event, anywhere at any level, so I didn’t really know what to do,” Spieth told journalists after making her decision, via Yahoo Sports. “It has become too much. … I don’t know, it’s unhappy. I did everything well, and I think it was just very random.”
Spieth believes that he was sleeping in an unusual position on Wednesday evening, and the pain started hitting him during training fire on the range.

His usual warm -up routine was rejected and Spieth left the range early to receive treatment on her neck. But that didn’t work.
He tested things on the journey, but he seemed to suffer from each swing he did. After 12 holes, Spieth called it.

He withdrew on the 13th hole, but after letting a painful cry on the Tee box escape, he knew it was time to stop pushing him. Spieth’s turn was not going well. He was 5 years old for the tournament at that time.
“While I was playing there, I couldn’t, I didn’t move very well, then it got worse,” he said. “I was just going to try to see if I could somehow pass at the end. It is a strange situation with a high event and no cup and important points and all that.
“I hit my TEE shooting out of 13, and it legitimately really hurt. I thought it was time.”
