The earthquake strikes northern Iran while Israeli air strikes continue

Tehran: An earthquake of 5.1 coarse hit northern Iran on Friday, while Israeli air strikes continued to hit the country. However, local authorities said there were no victims and only minor damage.

The official news agency IRNA has made no victim and only “minimum damage”.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck 10 kilometers (six miles), about 37 kilometers (23 miles) in the southwest of the city of Semnan.

State television reported the earthquake as measuring 5.5 and said that it “rocked the area around the city of Sorkheh in the province of Semnan”.

The tremor was also felt in the capital, Tehran, about 150 kilometers (90 miles) from Sorkheh.
