Shandur Polo’s historic and culturally significant festival officially started in Shandur, the highest polo shot in the world, located at an altitude of 12,000 feet. The three -day event is organized jointly by the KP Tourism Authority, Army and Chitral Scouts.
The first day presented an exciting polo game between Sar Laspur de Chitral and the Ghizer team from Gilgit-Baltistan, with Sar Laspur winning the victory of 6-3.
During the festival, the traditional rivals of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan will engage in animated polo games, attracting large crowds of local and international tourists to the picturesque highlands of Shandur.
