A dispute between a husband and a woman won her 10 -month -old boy in the hospital due to tortures and alleged burns inflicted by her father. Ahmed’s father, Amir, would have tortured and burned him during an altercation with his wife, Nasima, at their residence in Liaquatabad.

The infant was admitted to the National Institute of Child Health (Nich) in critical condition. According to the police, the incident occurred a few days ago when Amir argued with his wife and brutally beaten his son before placing him on a fire stove. The baby suffered serious burns and was initially emergency transport to Abbasi Shaheed hospital before being moved to the Nich.

The authorities were informed of the incident and the head of the woman and the child protection cells Sobia Nazir visited the hospital and registered the mother’s declaration. Doctors taking care of the baby said the child was subject to serious physical violence and is currently fighting for his life.

Police recorded a case against Amir on the basis of the complaint filed by Nasima, who had married Amir two years ago. She alleged that on June 11, Amir had physically abused their son and threatened to kill him by placing his hands and legs on the stove on fire, causing serious burns.

Amir was arrested by women and the child protection unit. During the initial investigation, he said that his wife demanded a divorce, which led to the altercation. However, a more in -depth investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
