Pakistan, China and Bd have set up a trilateral forum

China, Pakistan and Bangladesh have formed a first trilateral forum, in a significant development which highlights new alignments in the region.

The first meeting of the new Trilateral meeting took place Thursday in Kunming, in the province of China in Yunnan.

The talks, held on June 19, brought together the Chinese Foreign Deputy Minister Sun Weidong, the Bangladesh Foreign Secretary, Ruhul Alam Siddique, and the additional Pakistan Secretary for Asia-Pacific, Imran Ahmed Siddiqui.

Pakistan’s foreign secretary, Amna Baloch, also joined the first phase of discussions via the video link.

Bangladesh had tested links with Pakistan and relations with China were not smooth during the 15 -year rule of Sheikh Hasina Wajid. But since its evidence in August of last year, relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh have experienced a spectacular improvement while China also intervened to advance its interests.

The creation of a trilateral forum is the result of the efforts of the scene in three countries. It will increase some of the eyebrows in India, which has undergone a setback after the withdrawal of the Hasina government.

Pakistan, China and Bangladesh, however, stressed that their new initiative was not aimed at any third -party country.

According to the Declaration of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun reiterated Beijing’s commitment to promote a “community with a common future” between neighboring countries. He described Pakistan and Bangladesh as “good neighbors, good friends and important partners in the high quality belt and road cooperation”.

“The three countries are key members in the world of world and share the mission of national revitalization and modernization,” said Sun. “This trilateral cooperation is not only in accordance with the collective aspirations of our people, but is also essential to ensure peace, stability and prosperity in the region.”

Trilateral dialogue has focused on promoting economic development and improving quality of life in the three nations. Delegations have had in -depth discussions on the launch of cooperation initiatives in sectors such as industry, trade, maritime affairs, water resources, agriculture, climate change, education, exchange of young people, health care, collaboration of reflections and human resources development.

The three countries have agreed to establish a joint working group to monitor and implement the proposals and understandings affected at the meeting.

All the parties stressed that the trilateral commitment of China-Pakistan-Bangladesh would be guided by principles of good neighborhood, mutual trust, inclusiveness and win-win development. They also clarified that the framework adheres to true multilateralism and open regionalism and is not aimed at any third party.

Reunion marks a new phase of regional diplomacy, China aimed at building wider cooperative platforms that extend beyond traditional bilateral commitments.

Observers say that Kunming Reunion could serve as the basis for future initiatives led by China in South Asia, emphasizing development -oriented diplomacy.
