Rawalpindi:
The Special Anti-Terrorism Court once again postponed the hearings in the affairs of riots on May 9, including the attack case of the high-level general seat (GHQ), now reprogrammed for June 26.
No procedure took place on Saturday when judge Amjad Ali Shah was on leave. The GHQ attack case trial has remained pending for more than a month.
A meeting of judges of the Punjab’s anti-terrorism court (ATC) was convened on Friday under the supervision of the supervisory judge, judge Shahbaz Rizvi.
During the meeting, ATC judges submitted stage reports on all current cases, including those related to the May 9 riots.
Judge Rizvi ordered the courts to speed up hearings in all current cases. Despite the directive, the GHQ attack hearings and several other related cases were adjourned on Saturday.
