Quetta:
The head of the opposition in the assembly of Balutchistan, Miras Aziz Zehri, organized a raising of the room during an event against the exclusion of the Jhalawan Medical College of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
In an address before leaving the session, Mir Younas reprimanded the provincial government for neglecting a project of educational importance.
“Although it is systematically raised this question, no corrective measure has been taken. The project director remains in charge, even if it is clearly not qualified,” said Zehri, citing poor management and the ineffectiveness of the college administration.
The former chief minister and leader of the national party, Dr. Malik Baloch, echoes these concerns, warning that continuous funding losses and administrative failures could draw the attention of Pakistan Medical Council (PMC).
“If PMC takes note, college accreditation could be in danger-threatening the future of hundreds of medical students,” he warned.
In response, chief minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti assured to examine the decision.
