Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unshakable solidarity on Tuesday with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, while the regional security situation in the Middle East intensified after the Iranian missile attacks against an American military base in Qatar.

The PM Shehbaz met the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and Qatar in Islamabad separately to discuss the rapidly evolving situation in the region.

The two commitments took place the day after the Monday evening missile strike, which has targeted an American installation in the Gulf, according to the Prime Minister’s office.

Shehbaz met the Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Bin Saeed Al Malkiy to exchange opinions on current developments and reiterated Pakistan’s strong support for the Kingdom.

In an article on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote: “today met the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East … Pakistan will continue to work closely with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Peace in the region by dialogue and diplomacy”.

He also conveyed his prayers and his good wishes for the guardian of the two holy mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. “Pakistan stands with the fraternal people of Saudi Arabia,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz.

During a separate meeting, the Prime Minister received the ambassador from Qatari Ali Mubarak Ali Essa al-Khater, during which he expressed his solidarity with the Amir and the people of Qatar after the attack on the American military base the previous night.

Publishing on X, the PM Shehbaz said: “We pray for the security and security of our Qatari brothers and sisters, and the whole region”.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan has always recommended dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable path to peace in the Middle East.

The Prime Minister had organized telephone conversations with the two ambassadors shortly after the news of the missile attacks broke out. During these calls, he expressed serious concern of Pakistan in the face of the incident and urged all the parties to continue an immediate de -escalation.

According to official sources, during the appeal with the ambassador Al-Khater, the Qatari envoy thanked Shehbaz for his rapid awareness, calling her a significant gesture of solidarity during a “most unhappy development”.

In the telephone exchange with the Saudi ambassador, Shehbaz reiterated the appeal of Pakistan to restraint and a peaceful resolution.

Ambassador Al Malkiy praised the declaration and agreed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were to coordinate closely to prevent a new escalation.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a declaration expressing the deep concern of Pakistan concerning increasing regional tensions following missile attacks against the Udeid American air base in Qatar.

The declaration also reiterated the coherent position of Pakistan that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolve conflicts, and called for immediate steps to defuse tensions to avoid additional destabilization in the region.

Meanwhile, Israel has confirmed that he had accepted a cease-fire proposal for the United States with Iran, following the mediation efforts led by US President Donald Trump, a statement published by the Israeli government.

Netanyahu thanked Trump for his support during climbing, creating the American administration to support the military posture of Israel and helping to neutralize what he described as “the Iranian nuclear threat”.

However, Iran denied having accepted any official ceasefire. In a television briefing, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi, rejected the information that Tehran had accepted the truce written by the United States.

“There is not such an agreement on our side,” said Araghchi, describing claims as “propaganda” and reiterating that Iran reserves the right to defend its sovereignty in the face of foreign aggression.

Iran has maintained that it would stop strikes if the Israeli attacks stop.
