Pakistan resumes thefts after the reopening of the Gulf airspace

Pakistan has resumed theft operations in the Gulf region after the reopening of airspace above Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, confirmed aviation sources on Tuesday.

This development intervened after Trump negotiated a cease-fire on Monday between Israel and Iran by interviews with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while his team, including vice-president JD Vance, had interviews with Tehran, said a senior White House.

The national carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), had temporarily suspended the flights late on Monday due to the rise in tensions in the region.

Despite the restoration of services, delays ranging from five to thirteen hours are still expected for flights linked to the Gulf. A total of 32 flights, including 14 Qatar Airways services, were canceled, according to the flight schedules updated.

In addition, 55 flights, arrivals and departures, have had delays in the airports of Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other cities.

Although Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates did not close their airspace, several flights were diverted to alternative airports due to climbing.

Bahrain and Kuwait had resumed operations earlier, Qatar which followed the pursuit later at night, allowing partial restoration of the services.

Earlier, PIA announced the suspension of its Pakistan flight operations in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai due to the continuous security situation in the Gulf region.

A spokesperson for the PIA said that the decision to limit flight operations is a precautionary measure in response to increased tensions in the region.

The suspension affects all the flights planned between Pakistan and these Gulf destinations.

PIA assured that operations will resume once the situation in the region normalizes. Passengers who have been reserved on these flights are advised to contact the PIA call center for up -to -date information regarding their trip.

In addition, the PIA booking service began to straighten the passengers affected on alternative flights.

The airline has apologized for any drawback caused by cancellation, stressing that the security of its passengers is the highest priority.
