The Saudi Crown Prince congratulates the role of Pakistan in Irano-Israeli peace efforts

While Iran and Israel have accepted a cease-fire after almost two weeks of hostilities, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman recognized Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

According to a statement published Tuesday by the Prime Minister’s office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a telephone conversation with the Saudi crown prince during which the two leaders discussed opinions on the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East.

Prime Minister Sharif has expressed full support from Pakistan to immediate de-scalade and a peaceful resolution of the Iranian-Israeli crisis through dialogue and diplomacy.

Referring to recent attacks, he stressed the importance of adhesion to international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter by all parties. He also reaffirmed the unwavering support of Pakistan to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Prime Minister granted a deep appreciation to the Crown Prince for his “Sagace leadership and commendable efforts” in the restoration of regional peace, noting that these efforts reflected the role of the kingdom as an international peacemaker and its leadership within the Muslim Ummah.

He also reiterated the gratitude of Pakistan for Saudi support during recent tensions with India, affirming the preparation of Islamabad for a significant dialogue with New Delhi on all in suspense questions – including Jammu and Kashmir, Water, Trade and Terrorism.

The crown prince, in turn, thanked Mr. Sharif for the call and praised the solidarity of Pakistan. He recognized Islamabad’s constructive role in promoting a diplomatic solution to the Iranian-Israeli conflict and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to sustainable peace and stability in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it had praised the efforts to revive dialogue and diplomacy, claiming that regional peace can only be carried out thanks to strict membership in the United Nations Charter and to refrain from using force. He promised continuous support for all these peace initiatives.

The ceasefire was negotiated on Monday by American president Donald Trump, following his interviews with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while vice-president JD Vance and other senior US officials embarked on parallel discussions with Iranian representatives.

However, on Tuesday, President Trump accused Israel and Iran of having violated the truce a few hours later, warning Specifically Israel after having renewed military action near Tehran.

Post on his social platform Truth shortly before leaving for the top of NATO in The Hague, he wrote: “Israel. Do not drop these bombs. If you do, it’s a major violation. Bring your drivers back to home now!” Later, he told journalists that he was “not satisfied” on each side for breaking the agreement, especially Israel.
