- The second iOS 26 beta developer is now released
- It brings a change to the control center which improves readability
- It also includes various other adjustments and additions, such as order monitoring and a recovery assistant
The second IOS 26 Beta developer has already landed, and he includes a small change that could make a big difference for users.
With iOS 26, Apple deploys a new look on the interface, known as “liquid glass”, and a large part of this is the inclusion of more transparent glass elements. But in the case of the control center, the company undoubtedly took the idea too far, as in the first beta version, the controls were difficult to do against certain history.
In this second beta iOS 26, the background of the control center and its icons are more opaque, as you can see in the comparison image below (shared by MacRumors). This shows the original design on the left and the new slightly less transparent version on the right.
This should facilitate the search for orders you are looking for, but this is not the only change in the new beta version.
You will also find a new “transparency reduction” option in the accessibility menu, which allows you to make control over the control more opaque, and there is now an accessibility section in the App Store lists, so that you can see the accessibility functions that an application includes.
Orders monitoring and assisted recovery
The Wallet application can now use SIRI to follow the orders, even if they have not been made using Apple Pay, there is a new ringtone (which divides opinion between users), a new live radio widget for Apple music, and the location of the “new tab” has been moved to the Safari management view.
There is also a new “recovery assistant” feature, which, according to the beta version notes, “is a new way to recover your device if it does not start normally. He can seek problems and try to solve them if it is found. ”
This is the main thing, but there are a few other small changes, such as a new description for low power mode, and it is likely that more adjustments and additions will be discovered in the coming days.
If you want to try these modifications by yourself and have a compatible iPhone, you can – simply direct our cover how to download the beta version of the iOS 26 developer for full instructions.
However, unless you can really wait for the final version (probably landing in September), we warn against the installation of beta versions on your main device, because they are intrinsically less stable than the finished software.
