Nadra revises the children’s recording system

Islamabad:

The National Database and the Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced major changes to its children’s recording certificate (CRC), also known as Form-B.

The revised structure aims to improve the verification of the identity of children and the nearby gaps that have previously been exploited in human smuggling.

The new system has specific age -specific protocols for recording. For children under three, Nadra will publish a CRC without photography or biometric data, and this certificate will automatically expire when the child is three years old. Once the child has reached 10 years, a complete biometric profile, including fingerprints, photographs and iris scan (if applicable), is compulsory
