Rawalpindi:
The head of the opposition in the Senate Shibli Faraz said Thursday that the PTI political committee had unanimously decided to present the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa budget and that they would consult the Imran chief boss after having met him.
Any suggestion of Imran would be approved by a two-thirds majority, he added.
Addressing the media outside the Adiala prison alongside the KP government financial advisor, Muzammil Aslam, Faraz alleged that there was a plot to prevent the presentation of the KP budget in order to create a constitutional crisis.
He said before depositing the budget, the founder of the PTI had asked Muzammil Aslam, Omar Ayub, Taimur Jhagra and Ali Amin Gandapur to consult.
“We have made several attempts to meet the founder of the PTI, but the authorization was not granted,” said Faraz. “Consequently, the budget was presented in accordance with the decision of the political committee.”
He rejected the discussions on “minus one” or “minus two”, saying that people were standing firmly with the founder of the PTI. The success of the budget had defeated the conspiracy, he noted.
He also declared that the budget is temporary and that changes can be made to the management of the founder of PTI.
