- An “disclosed” image shows a screen protector for the iPhone 17 family
- And the iPhone 17 air has an out -of -competition change with a selfie camera oriented to the left
- This dull tip could refer more than what does not meet the eye
The iPhone 17 air has been leaning to have a front camera on the left side of the dynamic island that the Super-Slim phone should have.
This comes from the permission of the Majin BU forensicker, which is used to redoing leaks claimed by Chinese social media on X, often with mixed precision history. BU has published an image of screen protectors that are supposed to be for the iPhone 17 range.
These images are barely dynamic and do not refer to major design changes for new generation iPhones. But for an image entitled “IP17Air”, the front -facing camera was moved to the right side of the dynamic island (as seen on the iPhone 16 models and expected for their new generation counterparts) on the left.
Now, before yawning this article, let me explain why it could be more interesting than you think.
The movement of a camera is not a big problem, especially since Apple would probably ensure that iOS 26 takes into account when using the reworked camera application to break the selfies and so on.
But Apple tends to rarely do things for good or simply for a little design flair. I rather think that this change could be a clue to the way Cupertino could have reworked the internal arrangement of its iPhones to produce a supermarine variant of a new generation Apple phone.

If you follow Formula 1 – which, in this case, Apple has made a film on – you will know that the way the components of an F1 car are packaged is essential to obtain the most performance of a car; In terms of aerodynamics, weight distribution, weight, etc. The rules of F1 mean that there are limits to the quantity of modification of the car of each team to ensure that there is not an unfair advantage over others.
And I think the same logic can be applied from an F1 car to the manufacture of super-thin phones, well, to a certain extent, then support me.
Indeed, consumers have certain expectations of phones – especially those of the biggest brands – such as decent performance, rear and front cameras, a lifespan of the solid battery and a decent display. And since phones essentially have a somewhat iterative generation generation, there are undoubtedly limits to what can be done to make a phone thin and light without too much compromise.
As such, this repositioning of the camera for the dynamic island is a potential index that Apple works to pack the components and internal air structures of the iPhone 17 so as to make it seriously thin.
Since Samsung beat Apple with a punch with the Galaxy S25 Edge, I think that Tim Cook’s crew will need something special to stand out and avoid being planned to follow in the footsteps of his rival instead of directing.
Of course, the air of the iPhone 17 could still be rumors and speculation, with manufacturers of screen protectors reacting to advice rather than an official design. But at this stage, an iPhone 17 air form seems very likely; We are sure we learn more about the expected September Apple event.
