Islamabad:
The registration process for the Hajj next year was launched at the request of the Saudi government.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, all people wishing to perform the HAJJ in 2026 should register by July 9. This recording process – including submission of a registration form in the branches of 15 designated banks – is free.
Registration is however compulsory for everyone – people who will carry out the HAJJ as part of the government program, people who wish to use the Hajj’s private program as well as the Pakistanis abroad.
People who could not make Hajj this year due to the late submission of the costs required by private operators from Hajj will also have to register. This year, thousands of Pakistani people could not make pilgrimage to Mecca due to the release of private hajj operators.
This registration will help the Saudi government to make various arrangements.
The costs of the Hajj respectively within the framework of the government and the regimes of the private Hajj will be announced before the next HAJJ in the context of the Hajj 2026 policy. The Hajj quota for each of the countries will also be announced later by the Saudi authorities on the basis of the registration data.
According to the Hajj policy of Pakistan for 2025, a quota of 179,210 pilgrims was also divided between the government and the private regimes.
The provisions for the government regime have been fully managed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and in accordance with Saudi directives.
