Islamabad:
The Chief of Staff of the Field Army, Marshal Asim Munir, said on Friday that Islamabad had asked for peaceful and cooperative relations with Afghanistan and warned Kabul against the authorization of terrorist proxies sponsored by India to operate from his soil.
Addressing the officers of the 52nd training program jointly in Islamabad, Marshal Asim argued that Afghanistan was a neighboring Islamic country, but it must act in a responsible manner and slow down the influence of hostile forces operating on its territory.
“We are only asking for one thing: do not give space to the terrorist proxys of India-Fitna al-Hind and Fitna al-Khawarij,” he said. Afghanistan remains a “fraternal and neighboring Islamic country”, but it must act in a responsible manner and slow down the influence of hostile forces operating on its territory, he added.
He highlighted the crucial role of a transparent and effective civilian bureaucracy in national development, stressing that its structure based on services was essential in the state system.
