Padraig Harrington does not lightly take the unwritten rules of golf. It was obvious after the triple winner had an animated conversation with the former PGA Tour Pro Roger Maltbie in the second round of the US Senior Open on Friday.
The dispute between the two golfers was captured on video and seemed to be a question of golf label.

In a video published by Koaa journalist, Brett Forrest, Harrington can be heard: “Never on a golf course Take hold and look at someone looking for a golf ball. “”

Maltbie, five -time winner of the PGA Tour and current analyst on the course for NBC, seemed to repel, but Harrington was relentless.
“You have played golf all your life,” he said.

Harrington’s shopping cart, Ronan Flood, then entered the conversation to try to defuse the situation, but Harrington continued.
“You don’t look at someone looking for a ball.”

For his part, Maltbie did not seem to be in disagreement with the feeling of good sportiness, but as he explained, he had a job to do.
“I understand, but I have a business that pays me,” he started before Harrington interrupted.
The confrontation continued without any resolution. Maltbie said he believed that Harrington was “bad to death” and reminded the pro “I am not a player”.

The two finally separated, apparently accepting to disagree.
Despite the minor hiccups, Harrington entered the first row weekend with Stewart Cink and Mark Hensby. The trio is seated at the top of the ranking at 6-mine of 134.
