The chief of staff of the army, Marshal Asim Munnir, received a call from the best Iranian military commander on Sunday, Tehran, thanking Islamabad for his support during the 12-day war with Israel, reported the Iranian press television media.
During the conversation, Major-General Abdolrahim Mousavi, chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces, congratulated Islamabad’s “courageous position” during the crisis and thanked the people of Pakistan for their “daring positions” to condemn what he called the attacks not provoked by the Zionist regime.
He credited Islamabad for having ruled by Tehran while Israeli strikes have targeted higher military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians, including women and children – starting on June 13.
General Mousavi said that the American administration under President Donald Trump “spared no effort to help the Zionist regime” attacking Iranian civilian nuclear installations in Isfahan, Natanz and Fordow – sites operating under the guarantees of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
“Alongside the United States,” he added, “several Western countries have also provided verbal and practical support to the enemy.”

Despite suffering losses, notably the martyrdom of senior commanders at the start of the conflict, Iran said that it managed to prevent its opponents from achieving their goals, forcing them to ask for a cease-fire. According to military analysts cited by the Iranian authorities, Israel unilaterally interrupted its strikes on June 23 under significant pressure.
Coas Munir told his counterpart that Pakistan appreciated its lasting ties with Iran and stressed the importance of regional stability. The two officers agreed to maintain the communication channels to promote peace and counter external threats.
The Iranian commander’s remarks occurred in the wake of a 12 -day conflict that started on June 13, when Israel launched a series of targeted strikes on Iran, killing senior military leaders, including the Corps of the Revolutionary Guard body and striking several nuclear installations.
Iran responded with reprisal attacks against Israeli positions. On June 22, the United States attacked Iran, claiming to have destroyed the main nuclear installations of Iran in Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan.
In response, Tehran has launched strikes on American bases in Iraq and Qatar. Hostilities ended with a ceasefire announced on June 24, after assembling international pressure and heavy losses on both sides.
