Battagram:
The chief of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, was unleashed in the United States and the appointment by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, saying peace and Trump cannot coexist.
Speaking at a conference in Battagram on Sunday, the Emir Jui-F sounded alarms on the renewed efforts of Washington to rally the Muslim countries behind. “America said once again that we should walk together … This same America who abandoned us several times before,” he said.
“Now, he wants to unite on the basis of the line of the prophet Ibrahim, but how can we forget the atrocities in Palestine and the blood shed in Libya, Egypt, Syria and Jordan? How can we forget the injustices with which Muslims face?”
The Emir Jui-F said that the party was with Iran against Israel and was ready to defend Haramain. “We are determined to unite the Muslim omitée.”
“When our country needs it, we will declare jihad and offer our life to the defense of this nation,” he added.
The Battagram conference attracted a major crowd, with senior officials of the Jeu-F and carriers of provincial office present, notably Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haieri, Nasser Mahmood, Maulana Amjad Khan, Mufti Nisar Ahmed, Maulana Khurshid Ahmed Ahmed, Maulana Ghulamalah, Bakht Nawaz Khan and Shah Hussain Khan.
During their speeches, Jeu-F leaders also castigated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, accusing it of unprecedented corruption and financial mismanagement.
“The current provincial government has broken all corruption records,” said Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri. “In just one year, 1.1 billion rupees were spent on food and hospitality.
The leaders also expressed their frustration at the aggravation situation in Battagram. “People here suffer badly. Elected representatives are busy filling their pockets while citizens are hungry, inflation, unemployment and anarchy,” said a speaker.
Calling voters to support JUI-F in the ballot boxes, they said that if the public entrusted the party with power by the force of their vote, they would change the face of this country. “We will use national resources for the well-being of the people and will place Pakistan among the ranks of the great nations.”
Close security arrangements have been taken for the conference, with a strong police presence and hundreds of JUI-F volunteers in service.
