Islamabad:
Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, chaired a follow-up meeting of the sugar import committee on Tuesday.
Following previous deliberations, the committee confirmed the decision to import 500,000 metric tonnes of sugar through the trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) and the private sector.
The assistant PM has focused on government’s commitment to ensure a stable offer of essential products at affordable prices. The meeting was followed by the Minister of National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Sapm Tariq Bajwa and others.
