Islamabad:
The High Court of Islamabad has canceled a perpetuity prison sentence grants in a case of kidnapping and rape of children, acquitting the convicted person on the basis of a reasonable doubt.
Judge Mohin Akhtar Kayani made a detailed verdict canceling the decision of the court of first instance, who had sentenced the accused, Saleem Ghouri, in life imprisonment with a fine of 50,000 rupees.
According to judgment, inconsistencies in manipulation and care of forensic evidence have undermined the credibility of the accusation. In addition, the conduct of the main witnesses with prosecution and the complainant was deemed unreliable.
