As for the reasons why Cohen, who would have been presented as Mephisto in October 2022, was the right person to approach such an extremely powerful being, Nagelhout added: “To be honest, Sacha was the only person we could really imagine.
“The idea came from Angela Barnes, who also produced this episode. As soon as we imagined it as the character, we could not see him. We are very lucky that he agreed to get on board, because he brought a really fun, frightening and interesting version of this character that I do not know if someone else could have done.”
