India discreetly raised the digital ban on the accounts of certain Pakistani celebrities and entertainment platforms – which were blocked after the attack on the Pahalgam in the Jammu and the cashmere occupied Indians (Iiojk) which took at least 26 civilian lives, leading to a conflict in its own right between the two neighbors with nuclear arms.

Some online users have reported renewed access to previously blocked social media accounts, including Instagram and Youtube channels.

The accessible accounts are now included of popular Pakistani stars – notably Yumna Zaidi, Dananeer Mobeen, Ahad Raza Mir, Azaan Sami Khan, Mawra Hocane, Ameer Gilani and Danish Taimoor.

Indian X users have highlighted this development, saying that Youtube’s accounts of three major Pakistani entertainment channels have also been restored.

However, some major celebrities accounts have remained inaccessible, notably those of Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan and Atif Aslam

There had been no official declaration of the government of India on the binding of the rising – or it is a problem in the Instagram algorithms.

In this development, some fans in India wondered why the government had raised the ban for some while keeping it on other celebrities.

Other fans argued that the government had raised the ban on the stars “B-List” in Pakistan, so that does not matter.

Celebrities in Pakistan condemned Indian attacks on six sites in Pakistan on May 7 – all the affected targets were civil, most of them being mosques – Indian ammunition also causing damage to the surrounding residential structures.

The targeted sites included Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh and Muzaffarabad.

The other celebrities – who condemned the attack – understood the actors Fahad Mustafa, Hina Altaf, Hina Khwaja Bayat, Minal Khan and Ushna Shah, among others.
