The dreams of the NFL of Maxwell Hairston became a reality in April when the Buffalo Bills selected it out of Kentucky in the first round of the draft.

But while Hairston is preparing for his first NFL training camp, the Bills’s defensive backwards faces serious legal concerns. Hairston is appointed in a trial which accuses the young man of 21 years of sexual misconduct when he was a student-athlete in 2021.

The trial was filed Tuesday before a Federal Kentucky court, according to the Associated Press.

ESPN reported that the accuser is an Ohio woman who also attended the University of Kentucky and lived in the same dormitory as Hairston in 2021.

PK Press Club Digital was not immediately able to reach Hairston representatives to comment.

In the trial, the woman alleges that Hairston entered her dormitory without being invited. The woman then expressed “her non-interest in engaging several times in sex with him”, according to the trial. Hairston would then have “forcibly removed” his clothes and assaulted her sexually.

The bills did not comment and refer to the statements made by the director general Brandon Beane in April during the project.

Beane said at the time that the team had “fully investigated” an allegation of 2021 sexual assault involving HaiSton, which he called “an impeccable child”.

“So it is unfortunate when things like it are attached in the name of someone. And, in this case, does not seem to be there,” said Beane.

Hairston spent three seasons playing Kentucky. He will have a chance to win a departure job at the corner this season.

The bills have been deactivated since their realization of their compulsory practices in mid-June and later returned this month for the start of the training camp.
