The rival is opposed to the return of Nisar to PML-N

Rawalpindi:

The MNA Qamarul Islam Raja opposed any decision to bring back the former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in the PLP PML-N and warned against the party leadership.

Raja had defeated Nisar in his district of origin after the latter separated from the party following an association of 34 years. However, Nisar returned under the spotlight last week when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited him after a seven -year gap and held a meeting.

At the meeting, where Nisar’s son Taimur Ali Khan was also present, the Prime Minister wondered about Nisar’s health, according to a statement. They also discussed various political issues as well as the current internal issues.

Since his defeat in the general elections in 2018, Nisar had an isolated life, far from the eyes of the media. However, after the meeting with PM Shehbaz, rumors were widespread according to which he could join the PML-N.

In an interview with a private news channel, Raja said that he opposed the return of Nisar, warning that if his party had relations with Nisar, he would protest with party leadership. “I’m going to oppose him [Nisar] And complain about the party, “he said.

Raja said that in the elections, his family, who campaigned for him, was constantly threatened, adding that he had himself received messages so as not to challenge Nisar.
